BB Jazz is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization formed in the year 2001 with a dual purpose of raising funds and awareness for Children with Autism and bringing Smooth Jazz, R&B and Contemporary Music to the community of Huntington Beach. Why Autism? Sonic Rehrig, Betty’s nephew was diagnosed with autism over fifteen years ago. In the early years there were not a lot of answers which gave Betty the inspiration to form BB Jazz with her husband Corky. Betty found a way to combine her passion for music and her experience in the music industry to benefit children with autism and other children’s charities. Their journey has been very rewarding and they hope to continue supporting live music and donating the proceeds to great causes. They are volunteers along with many friends who help make these events possible. Corky and Betty have both had life threatening illnesses in the last twelve years and are grateful to be able to help others in a positive way.
BB Jazz has expanded to an Annual Library Theatre Series, Festival in Central Park, Winter Series at the Hyatt Regency on the Waterfront, Wilson Creek Winery Series and more. Please join us and celebrate life. |
